[edit] Venturas and printing

It looks like different Venturas has been in the printing business for quite a while in different places.

Questions:

  • Any Venturas in printing in other places ?
  • Is Corel Ventura is just following the family tradition ?

[edit] Stub

This article should be considered a stub. I and others intend to expand it.

This is about a dynasty of printers from Granada, now disappeared. If one Google any of this names, the result would point national archive libraries, rare books dealers and similar.

[edit] Francisco Ventura y Sabatel

I believe the first Ventura printer in Granada was Francisco Ventura y Sabatel. Recently he was mentioned in the article El Darwin de los pupitres in El Pais, 6 Nov 2006, page 40/sociedad. In 1867, he printed the first school text book, that included the new Darwin evolutionist theory.

Probably Francisco Ventura y Sabatel was not the founder of the Ventura Printers dinasty.
