Can some reference be sited for this article to enable fact checking?

Veerasoazhiyam and Ka.Appathuraiyar's (1945) "Tennatu porkalangal" Nanda publications, copyright-2002, 1st edition Senthilkumaras 16:20, 16 February 2006 (UTC)

The reference needs to be in the article.

When quotes are sited like "an overwhelming journey over the mountain"... reference needs to be given to show where this is quoted from.

When an explanation of the root of a word is given, the root language needs to be specified : "Vengi( Vaem-"overwhelming", kiy-"river basin" )...

The sentence: "Satavahanas though has few Tamil names as well, are considered Aryans who rose from western Maharashtra, and they largely patronised Prakrit. is fragmented and poorly constructed.

Pahlavas were a Greek-Bactrian-Indian dynasty. They had nothing to do with the origins of Kanchi Pallavas. The sentence: "The Andhra Pahlavas were the elder cousins of the Pallavas of Kanchipuram." does not make any sense. How do you define someone an "elder cousin"?

I would like to stress that when one attempts to write an article under the category of History, one needs to be careful to separate known facts from hypothesis based on unverifiable sources. Venu62 21:56, 16 February 2006 (UTC)

Thankyou for your comments; sorry about Pahlavas, kindly visit Pallavas wiki page.

What I gave was apparent Tamil meaning for the placename "Vengada malai" , Vaem= as in Vengai, vendhan, vembu, means overwhelming, powerful, high ranked, and hot; kada= isto pass through, journey, travel;malai=is mountain. Similar goes for Vengi. Meanings if in other languages can also be mentioned .

For Satavahanas-Aryans, kindly refer Wiki-Satavahanas;It also gives the Tamil words were Kanha for Krishna, the last king Ahalatti makana .... which replaces putra (son of) used by previous kings .

The Wiki:Satavahanas page also says the kings patronised Prakrit, used related words as Siri, Putra , ... in their names; so obviously justifying Aryan claim. Orion blankly pointed that Satavahanas were from Vengi natives which does not go well with the above page.
