Hi! I'm Velho (Portuguese for old man and, I am told, Finnish for wizard)
- If you want to say my name, read the e as in bed, the lh as Spanish ll or Italian gli, and the o as in to or do; put the stress on the first syllable. You'll end up with something like that: ['vɛʎu].
I am not really that old. I'm younger than Uma Thurman, even if older than Michael Adams. But I feel I should be younger, and I'm getting older. I can't keep my duties. That's akrasia.
I've been writing mostly on philosophy of law, ethics, normativity, philosophy of language, linguistics, chess and on subjects related to Portugal. Now and then, I edit some articles on insects.
