Vejvanovský Pavel Josef

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pavel Josef Vejvanovský /c.1639-1693/ has been ranked alongside the foremost figures of Czech music of the 17th century, until recently only a very small part of his compositional legacy was actually performed. This was due largely to the fact that the majority of his works, perhaps with the exception of his instrumental sonatas, proved difficult to conform to the standard formal patterns of concert-platform performance.
