Veisiejai (pronunciation (help·info)) is a city in Lazdijai district municipality, Lithuania. It is 18 km south-east of Lazdijai. The town is named after Veisiejis lake which is 6 km south-west of Veisiejai. Esperanto language was created in Veisiejai.[citation needed]
