Vegan Outreach

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Vegan Outreach is an animal liberation group based in the United States. They work to reduce animal suffering worldwide and promote a vegan lifestyle. They also distribute pamphlets, generally on university and college campuses, designed to educate the public on factory farms, industrial slaughterhouses, and related topics, such as what to eat as a vegan, and optimal nutrition.

Vegan Outreach works to spread veganism while stressing to the public that "personal perfection" is not their goal. With their pamphlet "Even If You Like Meat", for example, they attempt to convey the message that even if one feels unable to adopt a vegan diet, reducing one's consumption of meat, eggs, and dairy is still a step in the right direction. Their hope is that awareness of what they see as the cruelty involved in the production of such foodstuffs and other items that use animal byproducts will eventually lead to a vegan lifestyle.
