It was written by Larry Russell, Inez James, and Buddy Pepper, and published in 1953.
The most popular version of the song was recorded by Les Paul and Mary Ford. It was recorded for Capitol Records and issued as catalog number 2486. The song reached #1 on both the Cash Box and Billboard charts.
In 1966, a recording was made of the song by The McGuire Sisters.
