[edit] Vayalar the hindu poet?

If there is a category for "hindu poets", its probably unnecessary. Even if it was necessary to have such a category, Vayalar would be the last person one would think of adding to it. Yeah, he was a poet, he was "born" a hindu, but.. If he must be categorized, he'd fall under "anti-religious poets" more suitably than anywhere else. Why insult his ghost?

ok, if someone must absolutely include him under "hindu poets"; then please do so, i won't remove it once again, i'll just register my protest here.

I completely agree. I raised the point in Category_talk:Hindu_poets, but no one seemed to care. However, a category for poets who have written the mythological/relegious stuff (Valmiki, Tulsidas, Jayadeva etc) seems sensible. As of now, with Vayalar gone, all but two of the people in the category are such people, so I hope that is the intention of people who started it. Tintin 11:03, 29 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] should there be a quote section?

don't know of what use it could be of:

snehikkayilla njaan novumaathmavine snehicheedathoru thatvashaastratheyum-ma nishada!, mulankaadu

vaalallen samaraayudham, thchanatchanadhhwaanammuzhakkeduvaanaaLallen karavaaLuvittoru manipponveena vaangichu njaan!-sargasangeetham.

Hmmm. IMHO, these are for ml.wikipedia, unless you can do a good translatation. Tintin 11:07, 29 October 2005 (UTC)
