At Vatnsnes peninsula in Iceland possesses a variable wildlife, many natural wonders, powerful historical trails and a beautiful environment. At Vatnsnesi is one of the largest seal colonies in Iceland. In many places it is easy to get close to the seals to see them up close. Examples of such places are in Hindisvík and Ósar. Seals have been protected for many years in Hindisvík and there they are very tame. It's easy to get close to take photographs and watch their lazy lives. A stone hut was built at Ósar on the eastern side of the peninsular in which to watch the seals without their knowledge. There you can look at their behaviour in peace and quiet.
