Vasujyeshtha

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Vasujyetha (or Vasumitra) was the third in the line of Sunga Kings who ruled much of Northern India. Although very little is known about his reign, he is credited with successfully completing his grandfather's Ashvamedha after defeating Indo-Greek forces on the banks of the Indus. His achievements are mentioned briefly in Kalidasa's Gupta period work Malavikagnimitra.
