Vasas SC is a Hungarian football club from Budapest. The club's colours are red and blue.

The football club is one of the 15 sections of the Vasas Sport Club, that was founded at Tököli street 53, Budapest, on the 16th of March, 1911. The founders were the Hungarian Association of Iron Workers, hence the name is from, that is the Hungarian word for "someone that works with metals". Besides football, the club currently operates the following sections:

- Men and Women waterpolo

- Women handball

- Women volleybal

- Wrestling

- Boxing

- Fencing

- Tennis

- Athletics

- Chess

- Women Basketball

- Skiing

- Ice Skating

- Rowing

- Touring

Sportsmen and sportswomen of the club have collected 40 Olympic gold medals so far (2006) and more than 1,000 Hungarian National Championship titles, being on of the most successful Hungarian Clubs.

Due to the plenty supporters from the workers class and the support Vasas SC has received from the communist regime, it is still considered as a left-wing club, however in the recent years they havent shown any expression towards any political ideas.
