Vasad

Vasad is a small town in the state of Gujarat in western India. Its located on the banks of the river MahiSagar

Vasad is known for its Pulse Mills all over Gujarat and the mills are source of employment for a majority of the people there , along with farming. It also has an Engineering College, named Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Technology (SVIT), in vasad, which is unusual for the small size of Vasad along with some famous temples for Shree Jay Jalaram, Shree Veharai Mata, Lord Shree Swaminarayan, Lord Shree Ram.

Vasad lies between Ahmedabad and Vadodara and is a major junction railway stop on this line. Same goes for its road links - it's on the main highway which links Bombay to Ahmedabad.
