Varetada (Greek: Βαρετάδα) is a Greek island is a town and it serves the seat of the municipality of Amfolochia in the northern part of the Aitoloakarnania prefecture in Greece. Its 2001 population was 294 and has been declining since the mid to late 20th century. Its elevation is 480 m. The municipal district then as a commune formerly included Megas Kampos in which is now separated.

Amfilochia is linked with a provincial road linking Amfilochia and Empessos. In the village features the church of Saint Demetrius and a monastery.
