Varese Ligure is a comune (municipality) in the Province of La Spezia in the Italian region Liguria, located about 50 km east of Genoa and about 35 km northwest of La Spezia. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,254 and an area of 136.3 km2.[1]
Varese Ligure borders the following municipalities: Albareto, Borzonasca, Carro, Maissana, Ne, Sesta Godano, Tornolo.
