Original Vardis records are rare and are valued in most record collector's books and guides. An original copy of '100mph' including the enclosed tour guide and poster has an estimated value of approximately £500 ($940).[citation needed]

[edit] Works

Vardis' first album 100 mph, which was recorded live, included the tracks "100 mph," "If I Were King," and "Let's Go."

Vardis' second album The Worlds Insane featured a fiery version of Hawkwind's "Silver Machine" and a blues title track with a lashing solo.

The third album Quo Vardis offered barnburners like "Together Tonight" and "Boogie Blitz" with Steve Zodiac's guitar leads inspiring later metal giants.

[edit] Influence

Steve Zodiac is directly quoted by the likes of Metallica as a heavy infuence.[citation needed] He prematurely quit Vardis in 1986, which resulted in an outcry amongst rock n' roll fans all over the world[citation needed]) due to mounting tensions between himself and several people within the music industry.
