[edit] General Profile

I was born in North Carolina, USA, and raised by my loving and dedicated parents in Raleigh, the state's capitol and cultural center. From these gentle, Southern beginnings, I grew into a young man who listens and reads more than he chatters -- although ... I have sustained philosophical discussions that started at tea time, went on through supper, and finally ended at a coffee house! For those of us who demand psychological precision, I am Myers-Briggs ISFJ/ISTJ (Introverted, Sensing, Feeling/Thinking, Judging); 16PF (Sixteen Personality Factor) introverted, receptive, independent, anxious, unrestrained; and Holland Occupational Type artistic.

[edit] Wikipedian

I am a student librarian and enjoy writing, reading and researching, or helping patrons' with their research, so I hope to expand Wikipedia's collection. I study physical science, pedagogy, German and mathematics at Appalachian State University.

[edit] My Motto

I aspire to write articles that establish Wikipedia as a valuable general reference and special reference material. With this motto in mind, and recalling the advice of my childhood reference -- the World Book Encyclopedia, I aspire to write articles that: have a 1. broad scope, be 2. current, 3. authoritative, 4. impartial, and 5. revised. (World Book, vol. 22:33)

[edit] Personal Life

Since you got this far, I feel you deserve and BIG hugg! :)

This is a good moment to hear my mini-bio because I finished a session of yoga and meditation -- meaning I am very relaxed even with my shortfalls. I'm El-Aurian, aka. an aloof advisor if you missed Whoopi's character on Star Trek-TNG ;) Like Guinan, I am a mystical confidant to important people (my friends), and an ambassador between ... highly opinionated people and their so-called enemies. I sound arrogant when I switch on my analytical persona because my analysis suppresses any empathy for your response. Thankfully I have a warm, fuzzy, Care Bear persona too :P So during lucid moments when these two personas mesh, you will be staring at me and thinking how much I resemble Willy Wonka! "Welcome to my chocolate factory!"

My homepage is hosted by the university, and I livejournal at http://vap0rtranz.livejournal.com; rather than just an EMO diary, I do occasionally post substantial essays.
