Template talk:Vanity2
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Contents |
[edit] Purpose
This template is meant to provide a friendly way to greet new users who have created a vanity page about themselves.
[edit] Usage
Copy the following code to the new user's talk page:
- {{subst:vanity2|NEWUSERNAME|GREETERNAME}}
And replace "NEWUSERNAME" by the new user's user name, and also replace "GREETERNAME" by your own (the greeter's) user name.
Note that the template automatically adds a section entitled "Biographies" and adds your signature.
[edit] Example
If User:WAvegetarian sees that newbie User:Shawnc had created a vanity page about himself, then WAvegetarian can go to User talk:Shawnc and paste the following code:
- {{subst:vanity2|Shawnc|WAvegetarian}}
Which then becomes the following text between <begin> and <end>:
<begin>
[edit] Biographies
