[edit] Plot
Two mysterious vampire hunters make their way to destroy a vampire named Auguste (who bears a homaging resemblance to Count Dracula). Early in the game, they find a 12-year old girl named Caroline.
The game's ending leaves both Vampire Hunters sacrificing their lives in order to destroy Auguste. The final cutscene shows Caroline visiting their graves.
It is important to note the hunters are in fact half-vampires, due to their glowing eyes and vampiric eyeshades. The story takes place in an alternate version of the year 2006, when time looks stuck in the late 19th century.
The ending reveals that both hunters were created by Auguste, and he used them to attempt to kill himself, but he became afraid of death and tried to stop them.
[edit] Characters
Michael and Albert
A pair of mysterious vampire hunters, Michael and Albert have cold and brash attitudes, respectively. Albert is the more sociable of the two.
Caroline
A young girl that both hunters find very early, she lost her parents. Though still not a true hunter, the experience makes her mature above her age.
[edit] Antagonists
Auguste The game's main villain and final boss, he commands his army of vampires to defeat the two Vampire Hunters. In the end, he fails and is defeated by them, though at the cost of the vampire hunters' lives. Ironically, he created Michel and Albert to kill him so he would not live forever. However, he grew afraid of death, but knew the inevitable. August tried his best to keep the Vampire Hunters out of his life, though he knew he would fail. Weak Point: His head/body (Bat form).
Bathe'lemy The first boss is an honorable vampire which wields a large zanbato/claymore hybrid sword. He transforms into a gigantic demon with two blades. Bathe'lemy was an evil scientist, banished from his home because of his questionable experiments with live humans. He sacrificed his soul to turn into a vampire so he could have his revenge. Weak Point: His head (Demon form).
Guilaume The second boss is a demented vampire evil genius, who transforms into a Man-Bat. Guilaume was a knight in search for the meaning of life. August offered him a way to find out by making him a vampire. Weak Point: His body (Bat form).
Raoul Third boss, A youthful vampire, wields a rapier. He invokes a giant demon instead of transforming. Previously human, he fell in love with a young girl named Sophie (mistaken by Caroline), but he failed to protect her when other humans killed her. Thus, he hated humans and changed into a vampire to kill humans. Weak Point: Himself (When invoking the giant demon).
Diane Fourth boss, a female vampire who has the power of cryokinesis (controlling ice). She was a vampiric mermaid who fell in love with Auguste, and followed him everywhere. Diane gave herself up for Auguste and turned into a vampire because of her love. Transforms into a Witch/Vampire/Siren hybrid Weak Point: Her head/body (demon form)
