Bridget Fox (born 14 July 1964, Amersham) was a local politician, having been the Deputy Leader of Islington Council. She lost her council seat in May 2006.
She won a scholarship to read History & French at Balliol College, Oxford, followed by post-graduate Library Science at the Polytechnic of North London in Islington.
A member of the Liberal Democrats, Fox has stood for Parliament three times. In 1997 she stood in Hampstead and Highgate and in 2001 in East Ham, finishing third on both occasions. At the 2005 General Election she was the LibDem candidate for Islington South and Finsbury, narrowly missing out on taking the seat from Labour by only 484 votes.
She lost her seat on Islington Council to Labour in the May 2006 elections when her party failed to campaign in their held seats.
