Valtio

Valtio is an unrecognized micronation in Finland, in Posio municipality, roughly eight kilometres North from the Posio centre. The name means "State". Valtio was founded by Ari Peltonen 26th August, 2006. He wrote a humoristic article about the founding of his nation to the weekly Nyt-supplement of Helsingin Sanomat.

The population of the nation is two (2) and government, and its area is 50 m². Capital city of Valtio is Turku, the former capital of Finland. However people of Turku are not recognized as citizens of Valtio, but (according to the paper) they stay in similar state as Russian speaking inhabitants of Estonia and some other Baltic states.
