[edit] Appearance

The Valsione is a very distinctive mecha, with its female body styling, complete with long, colorful "hair". The Valsione's face is also protected by a covering that resembles human skin, and capable of changing its expressions to match those of its pilot. This makes the Valsione resemble a giant girl in armor.

[edit] Technical And Historical

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

The Valsione is a machine built and developed by the Divine Crusaders, under the leadership of Dr. Bian Zoldark. It was specifically designed for his daughter, Lune Zoldark, who was trained to become a pilot at a young age. It may be considered the female counterpart of the much more powerful Valsion, the personal machine to Bian himself (and the most powerful mecha of the Divine Crusaders, excluding the Granzon). Both the Valsione and the Valsion share the same, basic technology and weaponry. While less powerful than the Valsion, the Valsione is still quite a versatile robot compared to the usual standards. In the original timeline, the Valsione would be upgraded into the more powerful Valsione R (R for Reppu, Return) using Langran technology, when Lune went to La Gias.

The Valsione is flight-capable, probably due to some form of gravity control, as there are no visible thrusters. This allows it great mobility and speed -- in addition, it is able to make short burts of speed, giving it an ability to create an "after-image" effect to confuse enemies. When upgraded into the Valsione R, the machine's capabilities are enhanced, and new weapons are added.

[edit] Specifications

Valsione

Model Number: DCSMH-02

Height: 24.6 Meters

Weight: 39.7 Tons

Weapon Systems:

  • Divine Blade:
A basic sword used for melee combat. It has the same name as the sword used by the Valsion, but it is much smaller and comparably less powerful.
  • Hyper Beam Cannon:
A large beam cannon summoned into the Valsione's hands, firing large beam shots.
  • Psycho Blaster:
A very powerful attack, capable of hitting mutilple enemy targets. Several bursts of energy originate from the Valsione and expand in a spherical area, damaging all enemies within the weapon's range. While very different technologically, its use is very similar, but less powerful, than the Cybuster's Cyflash attack.
  • Cross Smasher:
The most powerful attack of the Valsione, it fires a pair of different coloured beams that spiral around each other into an enemy with a drilling effect. Note that this is the same weapon mounted on the Valsion.

Valsione R

Valsione R

Model Number: DCSMH-02R

Height: 28.2 Meters

Weapon Systems:

  • Divine Arm:
A sword used for melee combat. An improvement over the Divine Blade.
  • Cross Saucer:
A pair of disk-like weapons, mounted on the Valsione R's shoulders, are launched, flying towards its target, striking it several times in a cutting fashion.
  • Cross Smasher:
The Valsione fires a pair of different coloured beams that spiral around each other into an enemy with a drilling effect. Note that this is the same weapon mounted on the Valsion.
  • Engetsu Sappou:
The final and most powerful attack of the Valsione R. Upon summoning its Divine Arm, the Valsione R brandishes its weapon in a circular motion. With the view of a full moon in the background, the Valsione R flies high into the air, then delivers a thunderous vertical slash at its target, following up with a powerful horizontal slash. The effect of the attack is so devastating that the moon in the background and the target is cut in half.
