The club caters form U7 All the way up to Intermediate. The clubs major highlights to date was the winning of the Cork Intermediate Hurling Championship title in 1989. Major intercounty success has eluded the club in recent years at the top level in the men but in the ladies section of the club, success has been a familiarity. Since the creation of the ladies football club in 1995 (Adult section) the underage setup followed in 1999 & in their 1st year they captured the U14 C County. From there the club went form strength to strength Fielding form U10-Junior B, winning all the major underage grades & reaching the finals every year in some age group. At junior level success eluded them but with the younger players coming through & greater organisational structure to the adult section coming into being this year it is only up for this club. Inter county teams have also had their share of Valley Rovers players over the years. Margerst Murphy,19 U14-U18), Anne O Donavan,16 (Primary Game-U18), Maryanne Hawkes,15(U14), Sinead O Callaghan & Sile Johnson,16 (U16), Vivien Melia, 17 (Primary game-U18) with many others playing for the Cailin Oga over the years including Orla Deasy, Lucy Hawkes.

U12 titles have been captures with others all the way up to Junior A & the club is currently playing at Senior B Grade. Created in 1987 the club has grown considerable & now has close to 200 members. Junior A titles in 1996 & 2004 have benefited the club hugely. Over the past number of year the club has enjoyed strong representation in the Cork Colours & a few All Ireland medals reside in the club.
