The Valle del Marañón (Marañon valley), between 6º30 ' and 9th L.S., presents forests similar to the high forest in the top flat next to the jalca.

The low flat, under 2 300 msnm in the south and 1 500 msnm in the north, is a formation xerofítica similar to the savanna with forests of gallery.

The average flat, under 2 900 msnm in the south and the 2 500 in the north, is a scrub alternated with steppes of gramíneas.
