Valet boy

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Valet boy (Malay: Jaga kereta) is a term used in Malaysia to refer to "people illegally collecting parking fees at the roadside".[1] Valet boys usually work in groups, and demand a RM1-RM5 "parking fee" from car owners, under the false pretense that they will protect the car. It is these very same valets, however, who do the vandalizing; thus, this "protection" service is a form of extortion. [2]
