Valeri Vladimirovich Bure (Russian: Валерий Владимирович Буре, Valerij Bure; born June 13, 1974 in Moscow, USSR) is a professional hockey rightwinger from Russia and is the brother of Pavel Bure; currently an unrestricted free agent.
He and his brother won a bronze medal with Russia in the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, and a silver medal in the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano. He was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft, Second Round, Thirty-third Overall. He has played for the Dallas Stars, St. Louis Blues, Florida Panthers, Calgary Flames and Montreal Canadiens. Married to actress Candace Cameron (Full House), with whom he has three children: Natasha Valerievna Bure (Наташа), born August 15, 1998; Lev Valerievich Bure (Лев), born February 20, 2000; and Maksim Valerievich Bure (Максим), born January 20, 2002.
Bure underwent back surgery following his final active NHL season, and never did play a game for the Los Angeles Kings after signing with them on August 12, 2005. Currently, it is unknown if he will re-sign with them or elsewhere, but he is an unrestricted free agent.
