Valdotanian Renewal

Valdotanian Renewal (Renouveau Valdôtain, RV) is a progressive-centrist Italian political party.

It was founded in 2006 by a split from the Valdotanian Union (UV), led by former President of Region Carlo Perrin. Those dissidents wanted closer ties with the Italian centre-left parties of The Union and to struck in the original path of UV.

In the 2006 general election, RV was affiliated with Autonomy Liberty Democracy (ALD) coalition, composed of the Democrats of the Left, Democracy is Freedom – Daisy, Lively Aosta Valley, the Communist Refoundation Party, the Federation of the Greens and orther minor parties.

ALD elected a deputy, Roberto Rolando Nicco (Democrats of the Left), and a senator, Carlo Perrin himself, defeating respectively Marco Viérin (Edelweiss Aosta Valley) and Augusto Rollandin (Valdotanian Union).
