Val McCalla

Val McCalla (born October 3, 1943 in Kingston, Jamaica; died August 22, 2002 in Seaford, East Sussex) is best known as the founder of The Voice, a British weekly newspaper aimed at the Britain's black community. He founded it in 1982 as a voice for the British African-Caribbean community and black Briton people. He was honored as a pioneering published for the community, but also faced critics who deemed him sensationalistic.[1]
