Talk:Valaciclovir
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Knowing my government as well as I do, I simply speculated the reason for the ridiculously numerous daily advertisements for Valtrex. I suggested that their real motive is to damage those with Herpes and it has nothing to do with wanting to give someone their sexual life back. Yes it will reduce outbreaks even stop them once coma and death has occurred. By examining its structure I suspected liver damage right off by noticing the abundant Nitrogen atoms.
Then wondering just how right that speculation was, I decided to research it.
Note the positioning of Nitrogen atoms compared to Trinitrotoluene
I further suggested in my report that the percentage numbers in adverse effects are an obvious deception and would be closer to 99% if enough is consumed. The numbers might be accurate among those who took the drug only once. But even under the condition of a single dose I would expect numbers to be higher.
Adverse effects
Common adverse drug reactions (≥1% of patients) associated with valaciclovir therapy are the same as for aciclovir, its active metabolite, and include: nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea and/or headache. Infrequent adverse effects (0.1–1% of patients) include: agitation, vertigo, confusion, dizziness, oedema, arthralgia, sore throat, constipation, abdominal pain, rash, weakness and/or renal impairment. Rare adverse effects (<0.1% of patients) include: coma, seizures, neutropenia, leukopenia, tremor, ataxia, encephalopathy, psychotic

- Just as much as Valtrex has to do with helping people, NOTHING. It is a shining example of just what this poison does, maliciously attacks the person afflicted with a contagion out of mindless fear, as evidenced by the side effects. It cannot be cured with this poison and because of side effects, the dangers cannot outweigh the risk of an outbreak of a sore. The small-minded logic is this, it is better to kill them than risk the spreading. Next they will be corralling these people like lepers. I amazed this has to explained to people at Wiki. The USA today article does not mention valaciclovir. What exactly is your point? JFW | T@lk 13:38, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Financial Logic for Malice
The profit from the few Herpes infected people foolish enough to take Valaciclovir with the immediate side effect induced discontinuation cannot cover the cost of the ridiculously numerous commercials in an honest air-time market.
We all know, or should know, everything is commercialized at the Alter of Mammon for profit except in cases of malice. Alphaquad 23:27, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
- There are probably too many drug commercials on USA television. That doesn't mean Wikipedia is the right place to start analysing this phenomenon. JFW | T@lk 23:00, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
