Vairotsana was a Buddhist teacher and translator who lived during the reign of King Trisong Detsen (ruled from 755 until 797).

Vairotsanta (Tib. Bai-ro-tsa-na) was among the first seven Tibetan monks ordained by Shantarakshita. At the behest of Trisong Detsen, Vairotsana travelled to India where he received teachings on Atiyoga from Sri Simha.

Vairotsana is credited with translating the first five texts of Atiyoga, texts belonging to the Mind Division.

Vairotsana was a significant lineage holder of Trul Khor.
