[edit] New features

  • Vacation adds three new environments where Sims can take a paradise vacation with members of their family or another Sim.
  • 125 new vacation-themed items, such as snowman kits, sandcastle kits, carnival games, tents, igloos, and concierge desks.
  • New activities for sims, including fishing, archery, snowboarding and beach volleyball.
  • New characters, including a mascot for each new environment that will keep young Sims entertained- a shark at the beach, an archer at the forest, and a yeti at the ski resort.

[edit] Vacations

To take a vacation, a Sim must use the phone and call a vacation van. Sims can choose from three different environments, each with different anemnities and activities: the beach, the woods, and the winter wonderland. At each location, the Sim may either stay for the day or for several days in a hotel or by renting a tent or igloo. The Sim checks in upon arrival; check out is 10 am the following day.
