[edit] Gameplay

The story involves you playing as an automercenary, hijacking tourists in the various vacation spots of the future and showing them the sights. As there is only one tourist per level, your efforts towards success will be rivalled by the many other combat-vehicles in the game. And it is up to you to use your money wisely on upgrades for health and weaponry. There is a wide range of vehicles to play as, each with its own unique weapon, appearance and character biography.

[edit] Plot

Earth 2012, it's the future and vacations have become an immensely valuable commodity, in a world that is the horrible post-holocaust landscape of devastation, poverty and chaos, the only alternative is to pay the nefarious Big Daddy ("your guide to the ultimate in luxury travel") in order to forget your troubles and enjoy the high life. Big Daddy is the greedy megalomaniac mogul of a vacation resort company who wants to rule the world. In doing so he has made his vacation resort to be the highlight for high-paying tourists, showing famous American locales. However, not everybody is content with his plans. It seems that there are others who wish to off Big Daddy who has taken control of the tourism racket. This results in several half-mad vigilantes known as automercenaries who battle it out against each other on the playing field attempting to break into Big Daddy's criminal base of operations. In doing so you as an automercenary have been enlisted in destroying his evil vacation resort company which has been exploiting the rest of the decadent world around whilst taking cheapskate vacationers on a hell-bent tour to the hot spots of the radioactive, char-broiled future...

[edit] Weaponry

There are nine upgradable weapons in the game, some are short range, some are long range. They are the following:

Special – The special of the character, may be short, medium, or long range. Depending on the character, it is the weapon that will do the most damage of all the weapons for that particular character.

Meteor – When aimed at towards another car (your opponent) will send a meteor shower crashing down from the Heavens above on to your opponent's car.

Stinger – These are homing missiles that when you aim your car towards another car will follow until they run into something.

Eject – An ingenious weapon which is fired straight on to the tourist-carring car in order to eject that tourist right out. The only problem with this is that you will have to get close to hit the car so as to pick the passenger up.

Blaster – A close-range weapon that fires in straight blasts between 1-2 bursts.

Prowler – The good ol' manual-guided missile, you guide your own missile towards your enemy. This is very accurate and can do a lot of damage if guided properly, if it misses off target by a foot in distance it will still cause some damage.

RLB – Bombs, TNT, Dynamite, this is just the launch mechanism that enables the following to be propelled and explode.

Stalker – It's a stinger with less aim, not much to say here, same damage.

Scorch – Your basic flamethrower, with short distance in damage.
