Vaaranam Aayiram (English: A Thousand Elephants) is a forthcoming Tamil film directed by Gautham Menon and produced by Oscar Ravichandran. It stars Surya Sivakumar, Ramya and Andrea Jeremiah in pivotal roles. The film's score and soundtrack will be composed by Harris Jayaraj with lyrics penned by Thamarai. Shooting for the film has already begun. The film is slated for release in late 2007.

- Deepika Padukone was supposed to do the role of the heroine in the film but backed out because the film wasn't rolling as scheduled and its dates were clashing with Farah Khan's Om Shanti Om. [2]
- Earlier, Asin was considered for the role of the leading lady of the film but rejected the film due to reasons not known. Recent reports state that she could be doing this film. [3].
- The film was previously named, Naan Thaan, Udal Porul Aavi and Chennaiyil Oru Mazhaikaalam.
