"V"
(2006)

V is the title of Vanessa Hudgens's debut album released on September 26, 2006. Hudgens said of the title that the "V" stands for Vanessa, but also for variety, "because my album, in a way, is a mix" of pop, pop rock, dance electronic, and ballads.[1] Hudgens promoted the album while opening for The Cheetah Girls during their tour entitled The Party's Just Begun Tour. The video for her first single "Come Back to Me" currently plays on the Disney Channel and MTV. Her second official single, "Say OK", premiered on the Disney Channel in January 2007.

The album debuted on the Billboard 200 in early October 2006 at number 24 on the chart, with 34,000 copies sold that week.[2]The album was certified Gold for sales/shipments of 500,000 copies.
