Vertigo, released in 2002, is Fey's fourth studio album and the first after 3 years of absence. The album was released with great expectation from both fans and the company, however it did not match up to the success expected, primarily due to the fact that the record company's promotion was not as great as it had been for Fey's previous albums. The first single from the album Se Lo Que Vendra received large airplay and sales both in Mexico and Latin America, as well as the United States. The song debuted in the Mexican Top 100 at 69 and quickly topped the chart. Se Lo Que Vendra also topped the charts in all of Central America, Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Paraguay, Chile, and peaked at 5 in Spain. In the U.S., the song did not chart in the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks. The second single, Noche Ideal, was officially released by the recording company, but promotion was stopped and problems with the company caused Fey to leave the company.
