Vénissieux

Vénissieux (Vènissiœx in the Lyonnais dialect of Franco-Provençal language) is a commune in the département of Rhône and the Rhône-Alpes region of France. It is the second-largest suburb of the city of Lyon, and is adjacent to its southeast side. It is therefore a component of the metropolitan Urban Community of Lyon and is connected to Lyon's Métro (underground or subway) system on the ligne D ("line D").
