Växjö Municipality [˘vɛkʃøː] is a municipality in Småland in southern Sweden where Växjö (pop. 52,000) is seat.
Today, Växjö is the administrative, cultural and industrial centre of Kronoberg County and of central Småland. Furthermore it is the seat of the Diocese of Växjö.
