Hello Väsk and welcome to Wikipedia! Hope you like it here, and stick around.
Here are some tips to help you get started:
- To sign your posts (on talk pages, for example) use the '~' symbol. To insert just your name, type ~~~ (3 tildes), or, to insert your name and timestamp, use ~~~~ (4 tildes).
- Try the Tutorial, and feel free to experiment in the test area.
- If you need help, post a question at the Help Desk
- Follow the Wikipedia:Simplified Ruleset
- Eventually, you might want to read the Manual of Style and Policies and Guidelines.
- Remember Wikipedia:Neutral point of view
- Explore, be bold in editing pages, and, most importantly, have fun!
Good luck!
- Thanks! I've been contributing to the Swedish Wikipedia for several months and am an administrator over there, but a Welcome is always nice ;-) Väsk 20:22, 4 Sep 2004 (UTC)
[edit] In the news
Hello Väsk, just wanted to let you know that I added your news entry on the new Government of Sweden to the Current Events timeline. Please be sure to add any news items there first, see the guidelines. Cheers, [[User:Solitude|Solitude\talk]] 13:38, Oct 21, 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Aktuellt
Hello! I just thought that I'd ask about the change that you made from "STV2" to "TV2"; the article has the former in the summary, so should that be changed too? Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 21:18, 22 May 2005 (UTC)
- The channel started as TV2 in 1969, but changed it's name to SVT2 in 1996. Note that "V" is before "T", by some reason (Sveriges Television is abbreviated SVT). I can write some more in the SVT2-article, if you want to know more. Väsk 14:19, 23 May 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:TV6 logotyp.png)
Thanks for uploading Image:TV6 logotyp.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. - I tried re-adding it to the designated article. Väsk 14:07, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
