Hi from Adrian - I've sent Image:White-winged.wood.duck.arp.jpg to Commons as you asked. Also I've adjusted the file name in the article White-winged Wood Duck to agree with the new file name - Adrian Pingstone 17:51, 26 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Commons

I like the reorganization of the veterinary medicine category, and I think Category:Infectious diseases in animals is the best name. The only thing I changed is to put Image:Seasonal alopecia.JPG into the veterinary dermatology category. I especially like the mite images, and I will definitely add them to en:WP. Regarding the otitis externa image, I'm sure I did cytology at the time, but I can't remember what it was. Lastly, I didn't add the heartworm image because I thought it was a pretty lousy photo (being in a jar), and I've been holding out for a fresh specimen. But you know as well as me that not every client wants a necropsy. So I'll go ahead and upload it to commons.

Also, I have a question for you. I noticed that you have uploaded x-ray images to commons. I have several on en:WP, but since uploading them I have become concerned about copyright issues, since I do not own the clinic I work at and the x-rays are part of the medical records. What is your opinion on this? --Joelmills 03:06, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

That might be a problem, in the clinic I worked, they didnt care about it, because the xrays are anonymized (individual data on scribors are cut and it's impossible to figure out the identity of an animal from an xray). I also know the problems of necropsies because most owners want to bury their dead animals. Unfortunately (for pics) or fortunately (for our patients), there are no natural heart worm infections in Middle Europe. In very rare cases, some animals are infected in Southern Europe during holiday trips. But I have never seen this disease. Btw, I was not ready with subcatgories on commons, feel free. But I felt that it's better to create a category tree in the beginning rather than having to reorganize hundreds of pics. --Uwe Gille 09:20, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Listing an AFD

Hello and thank you for listing an WP:AFD. Please review the proper steps in order to list a future article for deletion. Thanks! --Porqin 12:30, 31 July 2006 (UTC)

The procedure is quiet complicated in the en:WP, I am familiar with the German WP where I am a sysop. I tried to follow the steps, but something didn't work, don't ask me why. Sorry for any inconvenience. --Uwe Gille 12:54, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
Das ist kein Problem. --Porqin 13:09, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
