I checked on www.amazon.de. All books listed are actually written by Uwe Kreisel. The claim that "Most books listed apparently written by other author" is wrong!
- My mistake on that comment - I misread "written with" as "written by". Could you provide some citations for the major newspapers' reviews? If so we can remove the notability tag. --AbsolutDan (talk) 14:39, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
Here are some reviews, most of them are NOT available online, since they date back to times when newspapers were still paper-only. The German version is followed by an English version. Also, the search box ("Schnellsuche") at http://www.rowohlt.de/sixcms/detail.php?template=start_service (Rowohlt is a major German publishing house) lists two books by Uwe Kreisel when you type in the search term "Kreisel". OK, here we go:
Book: Net Jargon
Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, December 3, 1996: «Lobenswert: Die Autoren, die bereits mehrere Englischbücher veröffentlichten, beschränken sich nicht auf reine Fachtermini, sondern haben auch Vokabeln aufgenommen, die im Netz eine leicht abgewandelte Bedeutung haben. ... Dem preisgünstigen Band kommt zugute, daß die Autoren nicht nur vom Englischen Ahnung haben, sondern auch von der Mentalität im Internet. Book: Ultimate Idioms Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, January 26, 1995:
«Wer sich auf Reisen nicht (mit schlechtem Englisch) zufriedengeben will, für den gibt es ein Buch, das mit einem ausgeklügelten System von Übungen den Weg zu englischen und amerikanischen Redewendungen ebnet. Book: American Slang in letzter Minute
Prinz, 4/94: «Ein äußerst amüsantes und sehr, sehr lehrreiches Buch mit vielen praktischen Übungen.» Translation: «An exceedingly amusing and very, very informative book with lots of practical exercises.»

Das Buch wendet sich an Reisende und Übersiedler gleichermaßen und bietet auch Vieles, was man in anderen Führern nicht findet!»
