The uWand is an intuitive pointing device for use with multiple devices, e.g. in a home entertainment context.

It was unveiled at the Philips Simplicity event which took place 2-5th October 2006 in London, UK.

The uWand is presented as a novel sort of universal remote control which - unlike traditional remote controls - requires just a single button. It can be used to control the TV, DVD, set-top box and even the lights. When pointing at the screen, a pointer appears and the uWand can be used as a "freespace controller".
