Talk:Uvira

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

After a recent missions trip this year to Uvira, I was happy to see family life coming together again. Life starts buzzing in the streets soon after 5.30 am where the streets are coming alive with everyday chores, chickens, vehicles childrens laughter can be heard, all this is a sign of life and normality.

One experience that stays close to my mind was an encounter with the local fishermen. After visiting the fishermen at lake tanganyika the fishermen were having problems in receiving a good catch of fish. We had an oppotunity to pray with these fisherman to the God who made Heaven and Earth. These fishermen humbly accepted that God would help them because they understood that Jesus loved them and would help them. Within a short time the fishermen were pulling into shore large catches of fish, and have done ever since our visit in July 2005. This testimony of what God has done for these fishermen in the fishing village has spread throughout Uvira.
