Talk:Utopian anarchism
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Uhm; this contains flagrantly false Anarcho-capitalist nonsense. A pillar of historical Utopian Anarchism is that people will ascribe to anarchism through the use of dialogue and persuasion. Insurrectionary anarchism (and, most of anarchism in general) supposes that people with vested interests in maintaining systems of control will not give them up willingly. Irregardless of the opinions at hand, this article really has little to do with anything besides anarcho-capitalists trying to paint the rest of anarchism as unrealistic.
Interesting to see that someone decided to write a wiki entry reflecting a somewhat generalized outlook I have on anarchism. I'd say that of most utopian anarchists who follow anarchist history, would agree that those who wish to maintain systems of control will not give them up willingly. There's a specific reason why - they want those systems of control as it benefits them somehow, or they feel they are morally/ethically/devinely chosen to rule. I guess the distinction lies in the "means" to achieving anarchism.
