Uther Pendragon (band)

Uther Pendragon was a San Francisco rock band from the late sixties and seventies. The band was made up four members: Bruce Marelich, lead guitar and singer and songwriter: Mark Lightcap, guitar, keyboards, singer and songwriter; Martin Espinosa, Bass Guitar, singer and songwriter; Michael Beers, Drummer, singer and songwriter. The band's name changed over the years from The Blue Fever 1965 to 1967, Timne 1967, Hodological Mandala 1968-1969, Kodiac - JustUs 1969-1970, Uther Pendragon 1971-1978. the name was quickly reduced to Pendragon by fans.

As Timne, they released a 45 in 1967 on Action Records. The songs released were "Love Lock Temperature Drop" and "Peter Pan Blow Up", both written and sung by front man Fayden Holmboe.

In 2005, Bruce Marelich and manager & producer Craig R. Pedersen remixed twenty of their original songs and released them in a double set called Resurrection. The recordings were done live at gigs and rehearsals and in their Palo Alto Studio over their long career. Craig R. Pedersen wrote a rock musical, Psychedelia, based on the two disk CD set, and Sabbat, with music and lyrics by Craig R. Pedersen and the members of Uther Pendragon.

Other members of the band over the years: Fayden Holmboe, lead singer, guitar Jan 1967-Nov 1968; George Miller, drummer, background singer May 1967-1969; Derek French, drummer, 1965-1967, 1970; Gary Mora, drummer,1971; Doug Williams, keyboards, background singer 1964-1968.
