Ute Mountain Ute Indian Reservation

The Ute Mountain Ute Indian Reservation is an Indian reservation in southwestern Colorado, northwestern New Mexico, and southeastern Utah, USA. It is the smallest of three reservations that are the homeland to the Ute Tribe of Native Americans. Its territory encompasses parts of four counties in three states of the "Four Corners" area of the southwestern United States. The counties are Montezuma County and La Plata County in Colorado, San Juan County in New Mexico, and San Juan County in Utah. The land area is 2,332.809 kmĀ² (900.703 sq mi), which includes off-reservation trust land. The population was 1,687 as of the 2000 census. The reservation's largest community is Towaoc, Colorado.
