Utah State Route 8 is a short urban highway that coincides with Sunset Boulevard on the west side of the City of Saint George, Utah. The highway designation begins at the eastern terminus of Sunset Boulevard, at a T-intersection with Bluff Street (State Route 18 (Utah)). The highway continues along Sunset for slightly more than a mile to the intersection of Sunset Boulevard with Dixie Drive/Dixie Downs Road. The highway designation stems from Sunset Boulevard's importance as a major artery, transporting residents of western St. George & the neighboring city of Santa Clara into the downtown area and onward to the eastern and southern portions of the city. Before becoming SR-8, the same route was once a part of U.S. Highway 91, which route is commonly referred to as "Old Highway 91" in Southern Utah.

The average daily traffic volume on SR-8 in 2005 varied from 27,570 on the western end to 45,440 closer to Bluff Street. (See Here, on page 5)
