USS Kennebec

Two ships in the United States Navy have been named USS Kennebec for the Kennebec River.

  • The first Kennebec was a gunboat, launched in 1861, commissioned in 1862 and sold in 1865.
  • The second Kennebec (AO-36) was an oiler, commissioned in 1942 and struck in 1976.
