- I've done a last little bit of tidying & wikifying, so that the tags can come off. By the way, remember always to sign your messages with four tildes (as in the message I've added above); it makes it much easier to find and reply to you. Happy editing! [edit] Reply: Discussion about Mobile Suit Pages
Hmmm... Hope I'm doing this whole user talky thing right...
Anyway, I noticed the changes made to those mobile suit sections a few days ago. At first I felt like reverting them all back because I personally made several of them, especially many of the Mobile Suit Variations, but as I think about it more I don't think the idea to have all of the mobile suits in a specific series on a single page is too bad. That said, the new compounded articles definitely are in dire need a good spit shine, as they are all basically just cut and pasted into one uber-article, with very poor editing done. Decent plan, flawed execution.
I'd advise against just reverting everything willy nilly. We could work on bettering the current pages, which would drastically improve them. I'll think on this matter some more, but for now I am not making any drastic changes to any of the pages.

[edit] Zeonic-Flag-2.PNG
G'day there. This little notice is about Image:Zeonic-Flag-2.PNG - an image you've uploaded. All images on wikipedia need to have a) source information (where you found the image, where it was published, or its owner) b) copyright information (choose the appropriate tag from this list) At the moment some of this information is missing, and images like this are usually deleted within a week. If you want to keep the image on wikipedia, you need to update this information on the image page as soon as possible. (Agnte 11:30, 13 November 2005 (UTC)) |

[edit] Image Tagging Image:Dopp-Fighter.PNG
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Dopp-Fighter.PNG. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stifle (talk) 21:26, 17 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image naming
I noticed you've uploaded Image:G05.PNG and I thought I should turn your attention to a common error.
Please give uploaded images meaningful names. Otherwise they are difficult to track and it is hard to tell what the image is about without actually looking at it. I suggest you rename your image with an intuitive name that describes the image itself. Thanks, and good editing! Stifle (talk) 21:32, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:YMS-15.GIF)
Thanks for uploading Image:YMS-15.GIF. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box.
