[edit] School building
The Ursuline College Campus is very large and the building itself is fairly big and almost impossible to navigate through if you have no idea of the school's structure.
The school building is divided into five sections...
- Xavier Building (Classroom # 100s, 200s, 300s) - Merici Building (Classroom # 400s, 500s, 600s) - Denomy Building (Classroom # 600s, 700s, 800s & Gymnasium) - Theatre - Cafeteria (AKA Cafe)
Student lockers are located throught the three buildings and in the main halls.
In 2003 Ursuline College opened the doors to its new, state-of-the-art, million dollar theatre. It contains many features such as...
- Box Office in Main Entrance - 500 seats available - State of the art lighting system - Incredible sound system with separate sound booth - Catwalk that extends over entire theatre - Surrounded by music and art classrooms - Large stage with "garage door " access for loading and unloading equipment
The Theatre has hosted many major shows put on by the UCC Drama Team such as King and I & Cats.
[edit] Athletics
UCC "Lancer" athletic teams are some of the most successful teams in South Western Ontario Secondary School Athletics (SWOSSA) and even in the province of Ontario.
There is two sporting venues and a practice field on campus at UCC.
- Kinsmen Field is the football & soccer field at UCC. It is located beside the practice field at the north end of the campus. It has a pressbox and a scoreboard and is currently seeking renovations. Games are broadcast on the local television channel.
- The Lancerdome (AKA the gym) is where indoor sports (volleyball, basketball ect.) are played. UCC has a state of the art gymnasium and also banners honouring many of the school's championship teams decorate the walls of the Lancerdome.
The UCC Lancer senior football team has enjoyed some extremely successful, championship winning seasons while the junior teams has gone undefeated for multiple seasons.
