[edit] Uriel image
This article will be of a decent quality if someone would kindly take a screenshot of Uriel from Oblivion! Ideally a facial close up would do, such as when he speaks to you - It would be placed at the top of the article. I can't do this myself as my graphics card is of fairly low quality - to meet Wikipedia standards it is very much preferred we get as good a quality an image as possible. I have tried looking for a screenshot online of Uriel Septim close up, but to no avail. -- D-Katana, 25 April 2006 02:15 (UTC)
- It's a fine image, thanks! -- D-Katana 11:16, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
I deleted the part in Trivia where it said Uriel VII was a direct descendat of Tiber Septim, because any Emperor after Pelagius I was really a direct descendant of Tiber's brother Agornith, I think ti might confuse the casual reader.

Where'd all that information in the life section come from? A lot of the stuff I've never heard.
Major portions of this article appear to be copied from "A Short Life of Uriel Septim VII by Rufus Hayn" a book in Oblivion and Morrowind.
What's the source on Martin being the youngest son? I agree that he probably is, , given that the three legitimate sons are all listed as being in their fifties, and Martin appears to be in his late thirties or forties, but I don't know of any place where his age is made clear. [edit] Uriels grandsons?
I've noticed what seems to be a plot hole in all this buisness. Wouldn't uriel's kids have kids, the princes of the empire were in their late fifties so wouldn't they have kids, otherwise the septim line would be fucked anyway. TostitosAreGross 16:19, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
Well, yeah, but then you'd have no driving conflict. EVERY plot has holes. I agree though, it's pretty friggin' unlikely that three men would reach late middle age without having kids. Martin's easier to imagine being childless-no pressure to sire, a member of a priestly order, and younger than his brothers. Decades younger, by the looks of him. But the Princes of the Empire, with such massive pressure to sire and boundless choices in mates, all childless? You could explain it as divine intervention-the Nine Divines and many of the Daedra are all over this business. My guess is, they'd say that the Line of Septim was simply meant to die at this point in history-the Gods wanted the mortal races to prove to themselves that they no longer needed Emperors. - Yager Tharn had the Emperor's children dispatched to various prisons all across Tamriel disguised as "schools" and after the he was defeated there were rumors that the heirs were Daedric doublegangers. It would seem that they were indeed Daedric doubles and had their children dispatched off - note Uriel's certainty about their death.
- Martin was a safety catch for just such a scenario because he was born after Uriel came out of his interdimensional prison and thus certainly a proper heir. 86.80.122.213 21:51, 1 March 2007 (UTC) LCV
[edit] Confusion
The 'preceded/succeeded' section at the bottom is confusing. Not knowing the plot that well, it's not immediately obvious what is meant. I think it should be changed to be:
Preceded by Pelagius Septim IV |
Emperor of Tamriel 3E 368 - 3E 433 Except for 3E 389 - 3E 499 (Usurped by Jagar Tharn) |
Succeeded by Martin Septim |

[edit] Daggerfall Uriel
Does anyone know the name of the guy who played Uriel in DaggerFall? It would be worth mentioning him in Trivia. NobleWarrior 13:26 March 2007 (UTC)
