Urby Emanuelson (born June 16, 1986 in Amsterdam) is a Dutch footballer who plays left back for Ajax Amsterdam and the Netherlands U-21 team. He is a product of Ajax's youth system, and he made his league debut during the 2004-05 season. Ajax recently issued a hands-off warning following speculation that Newcastle United was interested in signing the player in the January transfer window. He was a member of the Dutch squad that won the UEFA U-21 Championship in 2006. On the 16th of August he made his debut for the Holland in a friendly match against Ireland.
